LABELS

breaking free

It takes one to put a label on

From then on more will wonder

It takes one to tear lives upside down

From there on many more will blunder

It takes one to start a war with words

From there on you will not get passed

Because what others read, and what others see

Will only make your nightmare last

It takes one to put a label on

It takes one to turn the rest away

With just a label and with just a word

No one else will hear what you have to say…

After my misdiagnosis, the labels began.  Once a new doctor receives a file with these labels, they shut down and won’t look passed the medical mess that was started…I hope that we redefine how we label things and people.  We are more than a “disability.”
