I WILL NOT DIE TODAY

DEATH

 I WILL NOT DIE TODAY

On the other side of my door, he’s always waiting
I can hear him on laughing, as he calls out my name
Long ago I would have opened it and welcomed his embrace
But, today my God is with me and this time so much has changed

I hear death is knocking at my door and he’s impatient
And I call out to him, “I will not die today!”
Then I hear him knocking louder, but I have no fear
Like many times in the past, he will soon give up and go away

A brighter light shines through my window, God is speaking
And he says, “Child, I am always here, I’ll keep you safe from harm”
Death will leave in time and he will not return
Walk with faith and you won’t have to be alarmed…
